Thuta is a South African ecommerce shop for previous-year exam papers sold as digital PDF and ZIP downloads. Contact hello@thuta.co.za or WhatsApp 063 743 1598.
Who is responsible
Thuta is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, for the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Questions can be sent to the information officer at hello@thuta.co.za.
What we collect
When you place an order, create an account, or write to us, we collect your name, email address, cellphone number, optional WhatsApp number, optional billing address, order history, and the alert preferences you choose. If you save a wishlist, we store the papers you saved. Reviews you submit are stored with your name and rating.
Why we use it
We use this information to fulfil digital orders, keep your account, send invoices and download links, and send only the alerts you opted into: sales, coupons, the newsletter, wishlist price drops, and wishlist stock. We also keep order records where tax and accounting law requires it.
Card payments
Card payments are processed by Yoco. The shop never stores the full card number. Yoco receives the amount, a reference, and the result of the payment. Cash or arrangement payment does not use a card.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it with the payment provider when you pay by card, and with the email service used to send messages you asked for or that relate to an order. Operators may process information only for those purposes.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your account information, and you may object to direct marketing at any time from your account or by writing to hello@thuta.co.za. Deleting an account keeps past orders, which we hold as a record of the sale. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
